Recognizing that a myriad of complex federal, state and local regulations serve as a barrier to entering the marketplace for small businesses, social enterprises, and charitable organizations, Social Venture Law’s primary mission is to provide legal support for the formation, development, and growth of such businesses. access to capital, the need for affordable and direct legal services to support such enterprises remains unfulfilled. Social Venture Law was created to address this need -- believing effective legal counsel to be an essential partner in the success of an enterprise’s formation and growth.
Born within San Francisco’s strong community of entrepreneurs, SVL believes inspiring others to enter into the social sector promotes many long-term benefits for our economy and society as a whole. In an effort to share this vision, we present on business law and social enterprise issues and develop educational materials for dissemination to clients on related topics. We view these activities as essential to our ongoing dialogue with our clients and the small business community in this rapidly evolving industry.
